What We Do:

Why we Do It:

Gardens Everywhere was founded on the unwavering belief that gardens make the world a better place. Growing your own food not only results in delicious, vine-ripened tomatoes on your plate (if that’s what you’re into), but brings with it fewer trips to the grocery store, sunshine, exercise, daily doses of nature and the best part…heaps of  joy! Whether a garden is still just a dream in your mind or you’ve started gardening and need a hand bringing out your garden’s full potential, Gardens Everywhere is here to help.

Why invest in a garden?

Before

After

Can you think of a practice that reaches into and improves more areas of one’s life than gardening? Becoming a gardener is a lifelong investment in your mind, body, and spirit all rolled in to one beautiful, tasty package.

Growing your own food offers:

  • A more nutritious and veggie-centric diet

  • Making a positive impact on the environment

  • Knowing where your food comes from and building a valuable lifelong skill

  • Connection to nature, boosts in mental health and movement

  • So much fun!!!

Meet Mackenzie

Mackenzie Holtog has spent the last decade transforming her property into an edible paradise and has learned a thing or two along the way. Through trial after trial and error after error, not only has Mackenzie’s knowledge grown deeper and deeper, but so has her love for the garden. Every meal prepared with homegrown produce still makes her positively giddy.

Mackenzie has cultivated her passion for gardening not only in her own backyard, but also through her work with school garden programs including The Edible Schoolyard Project, Oakland Based Urban Gardens and One Cool Earth. In a world where our food system grows increasingly concerning,  it is Mackenzie’s goal to share the gifts of growing one’s own food with as many people as possible and to create thriving gardens, well…everywhere!
